When Verify Code Signatures is checked along with Hide Microsoft and Windows entries, the Microsoft and Windows entries are not hidden.  If only one is checked they function properly, only when used together does this occur.

I'm running the program in admin mode on Vista 64 SP1.

Hi, folks.

Issue / design change (?) confirmed:

When combining either of the these pairs,
* Hide Windows Entries + Verify Code Signatures
* Hide Microsoft and Windows Entries + Verify Code Signatures

the selected Hide .. Entries option will be ignored, but Verify Code Signatures will be performed.

Cheers,
SvenBomwollen

Thanks for the confirmations guys.  I guess I'll be keeping a copy of 9.39 around for a while, although 9.40 does show some new locations, this behaviour isn't what I want.

Why the euphemisms (design/behavior change)?  This is a nasty regression bug making autoruns almost useless.

Hello, laxeraend.

My words
Issue / design change (?)
were no euphemism, but the short and polite form of: "Has it been changed on purpose? Or is it a new bug?"
This is a nasty regression bug making autoruns almost useless.
Seems that so far all posters agreed that the changed behaviour is undesirable.
Yet, why greatly overstating the negative effect? Autoruns could be used for more than
+ verifying code signatures
+ of non-Windows and non-Microsoft executables.
It still gives the most complete list of autoruns locations, doesn't it?! Would not call this "almost useless".

Kind regards,
SvenBomwollen

Well, this is why we probably all agree that the changed behaviour is not useful and undesirable.

But verifying image files is not the only thing which Autoruns can do.

Have to agree that this change is a retrograde step to me.; 9.39 stays.
