i have a third party backup software they can't seem to help me find the cause of the memory leak.
i know that during the backup memory is being allocated but is never being freed after it is done. i want to find how the memory is being used and maybe how to free the unused memory. i'm not certain what tools or methods to use. my physical memory starts on my Windows 7 machine around 23%/2.76GB. when the backup memory leaks it could go from 56% to 80% requiring me to restart after the backup is done. it could be an issue with another application stepping on the backup but i'm not sure where to start. any help would be appreciated. |
