Odd.

Is Procexp.exe in Norton's quarantine, for some reason?

Not that this is generally recommended, but can you run procexp.exe from within the ZIP file (typically, the software will extract the file to a temp directory and launch it)?

What ZIP software do you use?  Perhaps try an alternative?

Thank you for the replies.

The exe file does show up in the ZIP file; I directed extraction to a particular file, in which the other two appear, but the exe file does not.  I did search the computer in case the exe file was sent elsewhere, regardless of my direction, but it did not appear.

My security software is Norton.  I have run a Norton scan, as well as Spybot, with no results indicating any problem with ProcessExplorer.  Nor have I seen any other indications of a conflict.  FYI, my event log does not show any reference to a problem either.

Karl, thanks for moving to a separate thread.  < =text/>_popupControl();

Hi, lseddins.

Please, follow molotov's advice.

Kindly note that your problem report in no way indicates a ProcessExplorer bug.
Therefore your problem report has been moved into a separate thread.

Karl

Hi, lseddins.

Where did you download Process Explorer from?
Try (perhaps again?) downloading it from the download link at:

Then follow Karl's instructions at:

If the problem persists...

Does procexp.exe show up in the ZIP file when you inspect its contents?

Do you have any security software installed that might perhaps be detecting Process Explorer and not liking it?

Or, do you perhaps have any malware on your system that would detect procexp.exe, and prevent access to it in some fashion?

< =text/>_popupControl();  After downloading pe, my computer cannot find the exe file to run; when the zip file extracted, only the eula and help files appeared.  I tried again with the same result.  Am I missing something?  Thanks for help.
