I have removed large folders from the Uninstall stuff when I knew I was never going to uninstall those fixes. I also found that the \installer folder was full of orphaned patches (msp files) which this helped identify:

I recommend NOT checking the option to clean up old hotfix uninstallers if you use ccleaner.

If you do want to move anything to the new drive I suggest using it for your documents, music, pictures, favorites, etc into the new drive and use Microsoft's TweakUI to change the folder locations to point to the 2nd drive.  Double bonus is that if your hard drive crashes or you have to reinstall Windows you can just reinstall Windows and point it back to the new locations.

Leave your program files on the main c: drive.  They probably aren't taking up as much space as your my documents folder in your profile (if you're a typical user who hasn't moved it elsewhere)

I would move some bigger folders from C:\Program Files to some folder in D: and use Junction to preserve path... Smile

P.S.
About all the Temp and Temporary Internet Files folders - I would delete their contents, set some reasonable limitation for IE caching (Temporary Internet Files) and use some shortcut, Scheduled Task or script that executes my StaleDel (with appropriate parameters of course) to periodically clean old files from Temp folders.

I think a newbie like me, who did not notice the smiley coming to this forum for help could have easily lost valuable data because of lightheaded distorted minded "Senior members" like EP-XOff and redhawk. I think is unfair to give unsuspecting forum users misleading advice. Hopefully the moderators will see to that these so called 'Senior members' behave the way they are supposed to in this public forum. A harmless joke is one thing and a disruptive advice is another!!

No, these pieces of advice were not meant seriously. - To all those who did not pay attention to the smileys indicating they were meant in an ironical way.

Red hawk : Deltree will delete the whoel directory.
I think I was not clear enough of my problem. Before deleting what I want to make sure that it is SAFE to delete these files. Are they not required for future updates or restore to previous status ?

To Redhawk: All temp and Internet\temp files have been already deleted.

To EP _FOX:
I could not find what -u mean tin the format command.
Re format c: /u, Format command will format C drive!!! I hope you were not joking!!!

Coconut: Thanks for the suggestion ccCleaner! I am a bit skeptical about free third party software as though they deny it they often do contain other hidden activity built in to them.
