Hi Zim and Pat / n0adq / Byron (and everyone else),

Glad that you were helped by this topic, and thanks for registering to say so! Smile

I wonder if this problem is specific to this platform?
Most everything I've seen seems to point at the general theme of...
650i chipset and using the ethernet driver version 67.15 which comes with the 8.43 driver package

FWIW, There's also discussion in the NVIDIA forums, which links to this topic:

We're referenced here, 5 posts up from the bottom.

Thank you, Thank You, Thank You.  I was literally about to start pulling my eyebrows out over this.  Found this post, deleted the key in question and voila... Comp's running normal AND I can finally see my network connections.  I, too, am running a 650i chipset.  I wonder if this problem is specific to this platform?

Again, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Guys,

Just wanted to register and also say thanks for the thread, I am glad I found it.

I spent many hours going nuts over this problem, once I saw the solution, it took about a minute to fix!

I have the same drivers 67.15 and MSI motherboard MS7350 with nvidea 650i sli spp chipset.

Thanks again, keep up the good work!

You know, someone should really post this one into the nvidia forums or something like that.

This is clearly a bug in their drivers.

Guys, and foremost MOLOTOV,
Just reg'd to say: THANKS A MILLION!

I was having this problem for a while since I was configuring my computer for some audio-DJ-stuff and for the past three days my CPU went crazy. After completing the steps, POOF, the problem was gone.

I have an MSI p6N-SLI motherboard and using networkdrivers 67.1.5.0  for who it may concern.

THANKS A MILLION!!

Oh how quickly we forget. I read those articles last summer and had forgotten you had previously written on that very subject. Great articles by the way. I would also like to thank you for your contributions to this forum. Cannot begin to tell you how much I have learned  from your posts. I am currently reading your blogs from December. Wait. What's this. Molotov cheating at minesweeper. Say it ain't so!Thumbs%20Up

Hi stalas,

i dont have an Nvidia motherboardor chipset
Probably, it's not the same problem then. Wink

what would i need to do to find out
That's covered earlier in this topic.

A common problem for everyone that had the corrupted entries was that they could not open the Network Connections folder.  If you are able to open it, it would seem your problem would have a different cause.  If that's the case, see:

If those don't help, I would suggest gathering more information (stack of thread consuming the most CPU, etc.) and posting your problem in a new topic in the Troubleshooting forum.
