Some new releases of sysinternals tools have been suffering from compatibility issues With 98/ME I can only assume Autoruns is now another one of them.
Until Mark gets his finger out and look at the problem properly I would recommend you use an older version of Autoruns.

I have downloaded and extracted all autoruns 9.21 files onto an old  Win98SE PC

Clicking on Autoruns.exe gives the usual hourglass for about 10 secs - then nothing. Autoruns is displayed in the task list.

Autorunsc exhibits the same behaviour when run in a DOS window.

I have tried:
- re-downloading in case of file corruption
- looking for the registry key to delete as per FAQ's for earlier versions, there isn't one, so presume this doesn't apply to v9.21?
- temporarily turning off my norton firewall

all to no avail.  Any suggestions please?
