Does the BSODs follow a set pattern:
- first yes: when ever i want a rename a file or directory the bsod occourred. after that i redesined my directory structure more flat and was able to rename these files (see also first posting) now i can't see any system why the bsods are occur. some of them are while copy or move files. others are while i am not at the PC (at night, while connected with tightvnc, ...) my power supply has 400W i have already tested an other power supply with the same errors... |

one bsod while posting this entry ;)
some bsod of today - six :( uploads/20081019_124652_Minidump101908.rar i found a very actual realtek audio driver (02.10.2008) on realtek.com.tw. i think three out of this six bsods are caused from this driver. is there any reason, that the newest realtec driver on the asus homepage is from the year 2005. Are there may be some incompatibilities to this actual realtek driver? on the last bsod i checked my electrolytic capacitors on the mainboard. --> no visible transformations Edited by markus.s - 19 October 2008 at 12:55pm |

Faulty electrolytic capacitors usually leak (deposits at the bottom) or the silver disc at the top bulges.
To be honest if the mobo was truly faulty then replace it with a new one computer bits are so cheap these days. Does the BSODs follow a set pattern i.e. when the machine has been running for hours (warming up) or at totally random times?? Richard S. Edited by redhawk - 19 October 2008 at 12:50pm |

From the collection of crash dumps it does seem to point the finger at hardware failure.
If possible try swapping out the RAM and the power supply unit. Also try a fresh install of XP on another hard drive see if the BSODs still persist. Richard S. |

That bugchecks continue to happen frequently and are rather varied, even with driver verifier enabled... Seems like some hardware is failing...
