Offering files for people to download and to run with the promise of something exciting isn't new I get spam like that all the time.
The use of a legitimate remote desktop program is unusual, I guess that's because these hackers aren't clever enough to write their own backdoor program.

Been finding women on social networking sites (say Fanbox) get you to ad them to say Yahoo Messenger, then they send you TeamViewer and say you need to click on it to view their cam. Once you click on it, you are to send them the ID & Password it generates LOL

It is a remote desktop sharing app. http://www.teamviewer.com/index.aspx

it just shows as suspicious on VT with Sofos showing it as TeamViewer.

I stalled them untill I ran checks on it and finialy told them I didn't need a remote desktop app to view their cam. They then told me I was stupid and said goodbye.

I politely thanked them for showing me a nice free app to use when helping people with their computers :-)

Anybody else seen this?
