Hi All,

I'm assessing Norton Internet Security on XP. Process Explorer allows me to list handles. However, there are a considerable number of handles that don't have a type. It looks as though 'File' (and perhaps 'Pipe') have been replaced with empty strings.

A couple of questions:
1) Has anyone seen this before?
2) What does it buy the program in terms of security?

As far as (2), there are named objects (even though the object type is empty), so I can still see a partial list of resources. I also verified I can use PE to close a handle.

Jeff
