The Offset value is just a specific (start) "point" in a file where the file was written to/read from, i.e. every file starts at Offset: 0 and ends at a value representing whatever the lenght of a file is. While the length value is simply a length of a particular write/read operation. cheers, Ivan |

Please save the results to a file and paste a sniplet of the output so we can see.

Hello, I am new to using Filemon and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice/help. I am getting a message on our MOM server saying that there have been some Disk Write and Read Latencies on our database drive. Drive D:
First of all can I use Filemon to determine the issues? I ran filemon and selected just the D: drive. I am not sure how to interperet the output. What is the Offset and length mean. Can some one tell explain to me the colums meanings?
Thank you all for the much appreciated help. |
