Hi, folks.
In Autoruns v8.73 - according to some moderators' findings - this behaviour has been corrected and Autoruns v8.73 displays nameless BHO's correctly. Karl |

Hi, Alan.
Topwalk has been kindly asked to export the regkeys shown in his screenshots and post the exported reg-files. Importing exported reg-files for testing purposes is mucher easier than importing screenshots.
(Please, cf. here) Regards, Karl |

Interesting as Karlchen reported over in http://forum.sysinternals.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=11468 that it may not be fixed... or at least a new variation
"Looks as if this is a déjà-vu: Autoruns does not display BHOs having no names. Please cf. to this ancient thread: winbrume.dll" Mark can you check the screen shots in <a href="http://forum.sysinternals.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=11468"> this thread. </a> thanks Alan |

It's fixed according to my tests where I've recreated the winbrume.dll registry settings that were posted. |

Karl
thanks for the post saying this bug was fixed.... and I thought Mark had said it was fixed. http://forum.sysinternals.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=11468 I hate to have to continue to resort to HijackThis. Is there anyway we can make sure Mark sees this so it can look into it in more detail? thanks Alan |

Well, hopefully it should again be brought to his attention this way... :)

Nope, not yet, I'm afraid.
And this is IMHO an important issue, as a great number of BHOs, among them many installed by malware (browser hijackers, ConHook, and so on) have no name. |
