Hello Josep! If you're not sure whether you can disable it or not, you should back up your boot data on a safe disk, using one of the many software products available, then disable it, and see how it works.

As far as I'm aware co_mon.sys has nothing to do with WGA according to google it's probably something to do with the Compaq Monitor driver.
I wouldn't recommend disabling it until you have identified the system file and it's importance.

Hi all,& happy new year!.I found an entry in Autoruns which i'm not sure if i can safely delite:CO_Mon  c:\windows\system32\drivers\co_mon. sys     .I opened regedit and found this entry:ROOT\LEGACY_CO_MON\0000    .Under Enum.I googled this entry and found a referance to it as beeing part of Windows Genuine Advantage, which i removed several mounths ago,with a tool i found at this forum,would it be ok to delite this from autoruns & the registry?.
