Is it allowed to use “psexec.exe” in a commercial project? Is it possible to sell it?

If it is not allowed, is there any commercial product available which acts in the same way as the great small program.

I didn’t need more functions. I only need a tool to start a program from another pc via the network.

I program in java and I found no other way to do so.  Maybe anyone knows any other way to start a program over the network from java source code?

Thanks a lot

The webpages
+ Software License
+ Licensing FAQ
should answer your licensing questions.

Cheers,
Karl

Hi, alfi82.

I have just noticed Microsoft changed the Licensing FAQ only 1 month ago.
Looks much shorted now and in particular the advice has been removed to contact Microsoft about any usage of Sysinternals utilities which is not covered by the License Terms.

Possible alternative to psexec: maybe BeyondExec will do.

Regards,
Karl
